WAYNESBORO, Tenn. -- A four-month undercover investigation into illegal drug activity has resulted in eight arrests, authorities said.

Waynesboro Police Chief Keith Reeves said the arrests were the result of a cooperative effort from various law enforcement agencies in the county.

"We've vowed to work together,'' Reeves said.

Wayne County Sheriff Ric Wilson said the investigation was conducted by his office along with officers from the Waynesboro and Collinwood police departments.

Wilson said all of the cases were presented to a recently-concluded grand jury session.

"We're still looking for another suspect that was indicted as a part of this operation,'' Wilson said.

Those arrested included:

  • Rocky Duran Jones, 26, 100 Cantrell Lane, Waynesboro; sale of methamphetamine; in jail on $40,000 bail.

  • Tony Hampton, 27, 406 Kilburn Hollow Road, Waynesboro; two counts of sale of methamphetamine; in jail on $40,000 jail.

  • Priscilla Rowden, 50, 12377 Alabama 17, Florence; three counts of sale of schedule III drugs (Loratab); in jail on $60,000 jail.

  • Arnold Wade Dickey, 54, 224B First Avenue, Collinwood; sale of schedule III drugs (Loratab); held on $20,000 bond.

  • Joanna Brewer, 50, 2534 Lauderdale 8, Florence; three counts of sale of scheduled II drugs (methamphetamine); out on $60,000 bail. Arrest was made by sheriff's deputies, Florence police and Lauderdale Drug Task Force.

  • Joanni Rena Johnson, 43, 3125 J.B. Pigg Road, Cypress Inn; sale of schedule II drugs (methamphetamine); in jail on $20,000 bail.

  • Michael Anthony Malone, 34, 222 Ohio St., Collinwood; sale of marijuana and three counts of sale of schedule II drug (methamphetamine); in jail on $80,000 bail.

  • Russell Moore, 29, Catawba Road, Collinwood; four counts of sale of schedule II drugs (methamphetamine); in jail without bail.

Wilson said two people with outstanding warrants -- Dusty Olive, 26, Village Apartments C, Waynesboro, and Derrick Jones, 30, Carlew Road, Waynesboro -- were both at Hampton's house. They were wanted for violation of probation from Wayne, Perry and Lewis counties.

Wilson said that among the eight indicted and arrested, there were some who were "supplying quite a bit of meth into the county.''

"We believe it all came from outside the country and ended up here in the county,'' Wilson said. "This is just the tip of the iceberg.''
